Andy Rahn attended the FOSS4G (Free and Open Source Software For Geospatial) Conference in San Francisco, March 9 - 12, 2015. The annual FOSS4G North America (NA) conference is one of the largest global gatherings focused on open source geospatial software. FOSS4G NA brings together developers, users, decision-makers and observers from a broad spectrum of organizations and fields of operation. The purpose for Andy attending the conference, was to learn about new software and make new contacts to improve and enhance the Rahn Land mapping program. There are many new developments in geospatial database and mapping software, and much of it is open source software. Look for improvements to the Map Viewer service and new mapping services from Rahn Land later this year.
